I make it sound like I will be talking about three different things, but actually all the adjectives in the title are to describe, the completely off-key new Adobe Photoshop logo. Have you seen it?

First of all, I didn’t like the look of the whole family of icons where photoshop looks like something out of a chemistry class. Ps. But, changing the logo in the middle of the game, with no explanation and no new release in sight is just completely senseless. And really, this logo looks like anything but Adobe Photoshop, one of the finest pieces of software I’ve ever used. Looks like a weird chat application made for an old aqua mac os x. (news flash to adobe: the aqua look is so old now that even apple is updating it on their soon to be released mac os leopard)

This reminds me of a similar fiasco that was the attempt to revamp Quark’s logo. (for those who don’t know Quark also does a very famous design software, and the critics were so hard on it that they changed the logo again less than a year later.)

How long until Adobe releases their new logo?
